12. Changing the rules of the game. Experiments Chair/leader: Marco Janssen, School of Human Evolution and Social Change, Arizona State University, USA Francois Bousquet, CIRAD, France Description: We use controlled experiments in the lab and the field (Colombia and Thailand) to study how resource users change and create institutional arrangements when they share common resources. Insights are used to develop agent-based models of institutional innovation. We discuss the main findings from our lab and field experiments during the last few years and how we use those to develop models of institutional innovation.
